A simple case of the flu can fill up a Cpap Mask with colonies of germs you really do not want to know about.
They are there and they are not going away.

Every pulmonary Doctor in America recommends washing your Mask, Hose and Reservoir at least once a week with warm water, some mild detergent soap like Ivory or Dawn and allow to dry out over a hanger.
We get lazy over time or busy.

About 50 years ago, a lawyer by the name of Ralph Nader cried WOLF.  No one listened.  He said the Auto makers in Detroit were killing people because the manufacturers refused to put in Seat Belts.  They wouldn’t listen, so he took them to court.  He won.  Highway deaths went from 60,000 per year to less than 30,000.
